  Preventing Waste
More than 90 billion pounds of food are wasted in the United States each year.  The Mid-Ohio FoodBank helps prevent waste by recycling leftover food from:
  • Grocery Stores

  • Restaurants

  • Food Manufacturers

  • Farmers

Heroes' Hint: Look in your refrigerator at home.  Make a list of all the fresh fruits and vegetables and any leftovers that may have been saved.  Plan to use these items in the next few days so that nothing needs to be thrown away!

Activity: Getting leftover food to hungry people before it goes to waste is the Mid-Ohio FoodBank's job Can you help by getting the milk above to the empty glass below?
