The Foodbank works with food distribution centers, manufacturers, grocery retailers, food brokers, transportation companies, and produce growers to encourage donations of surplus food and personal care products that cannot be sold in the marketplace. Excess inventory, package redesign, cosmetic imperfections, customer refusal, test marketing, and short code dates are typical reasons to donate.
Food Donations
Mid-Ohio FoodBank handles dry,
refrigerated, frozen, fresh produce, perishable foods,
and personal care items - by the case, the pallet, or by the truckload.We can arrange the transportation.
One phone call can bring one of our refrigerated trucks to your facility. Our trucks are dock height and can accommodate a standard forklift. Tractor trailers can be arranged for larger loads, and standard 40 X 48 inch GMA pallets are available for pallet exchange.
Mid-Ohio FoodBank has four shipping / receiving docks to accommodate semis and large straight trucks.
Our warehouse is located at 1625 West Mound Street in Columbus.
Receiving hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Docks are closed for lunch between noon and 1:00 p.m.
