Both the State of Ohio and the federal government have a Good Samaritan Act to cover good faith donations of food from liability.  In simple terms, both laws state that if the food has been handled and stored according to safe food handling and warehouse practices, the donor is protected from  liability.  This coverage applies to both food industry and prepared and perishable food donations.
