Click here for more details. For the second consecutive year, Feeding America and NBC’s The Biggest Loser will partner with General Mills, Subway, 24 Hour Fitness and Walgreens to encourage Americans to lose weight through the Pound for Pound Challenge. Built around the incredible success of The Biggest Loser, the program allows anyone to shed pounds along with the show’s contestants by pledging their weight-loss goals at www.pfpchallenge.com.

For every pound pledged, the Pound for Pound Challenge will donate 14 cents to Feeding America, up to a maximum donation of $800,000. Feeding America will then distribute the money to the local food banks chosen by consumers at registration.

Our Goal

To rally our community to take the Pound for Pound Challenge. The more people that take the Challenge in our area, the more money we make locally to serve those in need. All of which leads to the greater health of our nation.

Take the pledge, lose weight & feed your community.

You can get involved in two ways:

  • Take the Challenge! Go to www.pfpchallenge.com, to pledge your weight loss goal. For every pound pledged, the Pound for Pound Challenge will donate 14 cents to Feeding America. The program is built around the incredible success of The Biggest Loser, a reality show that challenges and encourages overweight contestants to shed pounds in a safe manner through diet and exercise.

  • Tell your friends and family about your efforts, encourage them to support you through an online donation, and get them on board to take the Challenge themselves.

What to expect: Local health and wellness professionals will provide quick presentations on topics ranging from nutrition to interval training. Then, those who brought their walking shoes will take laps around the warehouse to until 7:30PM.

Why: Our goal is to rally the community to take the Pound for Pound Challenge because that simple national pledge helps Mid-Ohio Foodbank feed locally. Through your good-intention pledge to lose weight at www.PFPchallenge.com, the Pound for Pound Challenge will donate 14 cents to Feeding America, our national hunger-relief network. The more participants who pledge to lose weight in our area—the more funds Mid-Ohio Foodbank receives.
